Altered Art Book Masking

I created the red pages using masking works and lumiere paints, stamping and punches. The green pages I used masking tape over the entire two pages. The left hand side small pieces torn then painted over and stamping with background stamp, the right hand side I scrunched up masking tape to create textures then painted over and sponged with dye inks.
It's great to just experiment with different textures, it's amazing what you can create with just a piece of masking tape.

Altered Book Christmas Collage Pages

This image shows the collage pages opened with the layers.
This image shows you middle section of our collage pages
This image shows you the back section of the pages. As you will see each page is different. We have used tissue and stamping to create most of the pages
This image shows you close up of the first page using christmas collage pieces. We all enjoyed creating this page together.
Next year we will be continue our altered book group with classes every first and third Saturday of the month. I've already created our pages for February you will all just have to wait and see what they are.
Enjoy creating

Last month with my stamping friends we played with napkins and pva glue and these are the result. We always have such fun experimenting with different techniques each month. Next month we have decided to go to lunch for christmas. We are all looking forward to a relaxed day together.

Camp Challenge 21-23 Aug 09

This weekend we were presented with a bag of items, they were two chipboard coasters, one bottle top, one button, one packet of postie notes. You had to use three items from your bag. I used the two chipboard coasters (counted as one piece), bottle top and button. These challanges really get your creative juices going. This is the piece I created from my bag. I hope your like it. Workshop 21-23 Aug 09 Marlene Lynne-Trueman

Another wonderful workshop on my weekend away. Marlene was kind enough to share some of her collage sheets with us and we created this stage piece. I really enjoyed this workshop as well, thanks Marlene

Workshop 21-23 Aug 09 Vanessa Henry

What a fantastic workshop, right up my alley. I just loved it as collaging is one of my favourite things I like to create. We are presented with a bag of goodies and a sample to go by. It was amazing that 40 women can create 40 different pieces. There was not one which was the same as the sample or each other. Thanks Vanessa for a wonderful workshop.

I created this canvas piece while on stamping weekend also. This was also a great class. Thanks
